I've changed my concentraion.
I did a while ago actually.
so now its shadows, so far nothing special of deep or anything, but I will work on that when i have a good enough idea. Right now I will just do what I like, which is basically shading, as lame as that is

Portfolio Day

Yesterday I went to three schools, I actually wish I could have done more for some different opinions, but I had a city league game...
  • First I went to Parsons Paris. I didn't realize it was in Paris until I had already been waiting in line, and the line was really short so I was like ok thats cool, Paris Idaho. Then I saw it was France, I don't think I can go to France. But anyways, the guy focused on my one sketchbook of the cabbage, he liked that. That one made me happy, he liked my stuff.
  • Then I went to Parsons New York. There was no line, which was excellent! The lady said my stuff looks like they would be good for illustrations and tied together. I'm not really sure about that, but she was probably the most helpful and had the most to say about everything.
  • Last I went to Pratt MWP. They were kind of awk, but it was good. They said my life drawings are too stylistic and I need to focus more on proportions and shape of the human body. I agreed. They said I need to do more life draws, which is good, and not draw from pictures. That's like all i do though, so yeahhhh
I though over all the day was very helpful :]

So far

With this piece I'm not sure if it's too busy or not or if the roots are defined enough. I'm not really sure if its done really but I like it for the most part

I just painted these looking at the trees across the street from my house, then went over them in oil pastels, I kind of like the messy-ness and easy look of it, but I'm not sure.
I think I'm going to put in shadows to define the placements of the trees and then defined roots, all connecting to each-other, but I'm not completely sure..
